16th International Workshop on Plasma Edge Theory in Fusion Devices (PET 16)

organized by M2P2 with PIIM et IRFM —  27-29 september 2017 - Palais du Pharo, Marseille

The 16th Plasma Edge Theory workshop is organised by Aix-Marseille University (PIIM et M2P2) and the IRFM (Institute for Research on Magnetic Fusion) at CEA Cadarache.

Like the preceding workshops, this workshop addresses plasma theory of the edge region in magnetic confinement fusion devices. It will reflect the present status of the theory for the boundary layer of fusion plasmas. The emphasis will be on the development of theory and of appropriate numerical methods, with a secondary interest in self-consistent modelling of experimental data (including also empirical elements).

Invited speakers

M. Dorf (LLNL), M. Hoelzl (IPP Garching), P. Tamain (IRFM/CEA), K. Ibano (Osaka University), W. Dekeyser (KUL), S. Brezinsek (FZJ)
