March: winter university for Japanese students

École centrale de Marseille (located in Provence) is going to organize a French course with cultural and scientific activities from 2nd up to 22nd march 2020 (3 weeks). This course is meant for Japanese students in engineering sciences having acquired at least a A2 level on the CECRL scale. The planned classes and activities will be financed by Centrale Marseille.

Programme French courses

I. French language and civilization (around 12 hours a week) 

The 4 skills will be worked but emphasis will be put on oral understanding and oral production thanks to phonetic, French songs performance, theater, role-playing and civilization

II. Sightseeing of Marseille and Provence

+ visit of Marseille
+ visit of Aix-en-Provence and the painter Paul Cezanne
+ visit of a cosmetics factory of the famous «L’Occitane en Provence»
+ visit of ITER, the nuclear fusion reactor project in partnership with Rokkasho, Japan

III. Civilization

+ visit of workshops of regional specialties: Christmas crib figures, Marseille soap, Calissons
+ introduction in French pastry
+ excursion to the small town Cassis, its market and vineyard: visit and wine tasting

IV. Sport with French students

V. Scientific activities

+ in laboratories with French teachers
+ in scientific clubs with French students

VI. Cultural activities

Cultural games or visits in the city with French students

VII. Evening and moments of shared conviviality for exchanges with French students
